Domestic Violence Intervention Program (DVIP) Orientation – Guilford County, NC
Service Description
Join us for a required Domestic Violence Intervention Program (DVIP) Orientation designed to introduce participants to the structure, expectations, and purpose of the program in accordance with North Carolina standards. During this session, you will receive a clear overview of program requirements, including attendance policies, participation guidelines, and accountability expectations. We will review how the program addresses patterns of abusive behavior, power and control dynamics, and the impact of domestic violence on individuals and families. Participants will also learn about documentation procedures, including compliance reporting for court, probation, or referral agencies, as well as available support throughout the program. Our goal is to provide a structured, respectful environment that promotes behavioral change, responsibility, and long-term prevention of violence. Attendance at orientation is the first step toward meeting program requirements and beginning the process of change.
